“I need Carter.”

Nathan keeps walking away briskly and Jack follows him, watching Nathan’s body move under the finely tailored suit as they snake further and further into the depths of GD. Nathan turns a blind corner, and as Jack goes to follow he finds himself slammed against a wall and kissed like Nathan needed the air out of his lungs to survive.

“Fuck, Jack.” Nathan pants against his neck when they break for air, one hand sliding down to squeeze at his ass.

“I thought that that’s what you’ve been doing with Ali lately,” Jack snipes back, unable to contain his jealousy and hurt. He grinds his leg against Nathan’s groin, taking perverse pleasure in the answering groan and tightened grip.

Nathan bites his neck hard in response. “It’s not the same,” he says between rough kisses. “We shouldn’t want-" Another kiss. "Shouldn't need-" Another bite. "This.”

Jack pushes Nathan away slightly. “No, you shouldn’t. You’ve won, you got Ali. That should be enough.”

Nathan shakes his head, kissing Jack much more softly. “Never. She’s not you. You’re not her. Never the same, never enough.”

Jack sighs. It’s never enough for him either, but for now, he takes what he can get.
